As i mentioned before the information is integral to the product working and before i can start my designs i need to understand what it is that i am packaging. Although the information isn't finite and i may end up changing my mind, i think its important to have some understanding of what i've got to work with.
In order to do this, and lay down some foundations i decided to ask the class what they asked/ what they were first asked when they arrived at the college. All the answers are in my sketch book, but i summarised the most common and decided that these were the important questions that everyone generally asks when they first arrive. These were:
Where they have come from
Where they are living now
Name
How old they are
Musical Interests
Favorite designers
What halls they are in
Do they smoke
I do want too many questions are the answers will almost certainly be fairly lengthy so there needs to be room for them within the designs. Plus i don't want the 'friend' to be very big, so it needs to hod the information within it without it getting too distorted.
As i said before these are only preliminary questions but it gives me some ground to move forward.
