My Final Design

This is the final layout i have designed using In-Design. This was the first time i have properly used the software, and it was very tricky at first working everything out. As i said in the previous post, i was going to have to alter the layout that i had drawn when taking it further. I decided to have the text a long the side because i wanted to to really stand out, and making it look more professional. I turned the images into black and white because i wanted all the text and images to run together. I also thought to bring out the other quote i was using within my drawn layouts, as it is humorous and will draw your attention immediately. It is the first thing you see and then you see the main headline. Although the article itself looks fairly simple and boring the outlined text sets the tone of the piece, without giving too much detail away, which will hopefully make people want to read it more. I think the whole layout works well because it illustrates 'boring' by having no color and using helvetica helps it look professional, which is essentially symbolic of a politician. Boring but looks smart.
Overall i am very happy with this layout, it does everything that i want it to do and i like the way it completely contrasts with the original layout and article.
