Logo Designs

Here i have done some logo design for LAST. I wasn't happy with the original Logo design, and wanted to change it mildly so that it incorporated what i wanted to do with my designs. It does still mimic the original design but i have just blocked it out and kept the graffiti style. I kept the colour basic, still playing along the UV style and i have also moved some of the text around within them just to check the layout is right for them.

With this design you can see the text really clearly. The 'splash' doesn't take up a lot of room which is good because i want you to be able to see the information without detracting from the main point. They both work well together enhancing each other but not one of them detracting from the other. 

With this design i don't like the fact that there is a lot of white space, the 'splash' takes up a lot of room and covers a lot of text. By doing this it also means its hard to read the text and makes it slightly blurry. your eye is drawn to the splash instead of the text which isn't what i am aiming to do.   

This 'splash' behind the text is too block like, i also don't like the layering of the pattern. The text isn't that clear either some of it comes through and some doesn't which makes viewing it unclear. It makes it all look very pale, which isn't what i want i need the splash to stand out but not detract from the info. 

This splash is too dark and covers up too much of the text. The shape doesn't work either it has too many sharp edges and when you look at it all you see is the splash and not the information which defeats the point of what i am trying to do. 

This is a different layout, and it doesn't run well at all. You see the 'LAST' logo first then the splash and then the text which doesn't work. Also i think the explanation of what LAST is, it needs to be underneath because it explains what the campaign do and why its there in the first place (on the product/design). Generally its a bad organisation of text. Also the block colour of splash doesn't tie in at all to the design. Again it covers too much text and the brush itself looks to much like a brush stroke instead of a spray, which doesn't work with the logo itself. 

Again i dont like this layout, compared to the original one i did to work with. The text needs to explain the logo and not surround it like it has done. The readability isn't easy as you see the logo and then information, but not in a very clear way. The splashes work though, although they cover it a bit too much you can still read the information but it does make it a little too faded. 

Back to the original layout, i defiantly prefer this layout its clearer and makes readability easy as your eyes can follow it a lot better. I don't like the splash at all there's too many sharp edges and it doesn't work well at all. 

I like the spashes on this design and the circular shape that it creates. It highlights the logo and information nicely without covering up too much of the text and detracting from the whole design. Again the layout works better within this design. 

Here i tried to make a full circular design in one motion but the problem is though the splash doesn't interact with the logo properly as i had wished. Instead of the splash covering too much info instead it doesn't cover enough and therefore they both look separate instead of one design. 

I really like the spray down effect of this design and it covers enough of the text for it to look like they are working together as well as it not covering up enough so you can read it. Its a good balance. The problem i have is the hard edge along the top of the design if it was a smooth edge of a lagged edge then it would work well. 

In this design there is too much going on, and the text is too covered up. Also the design is too dark so you cant really see the information clearly. However i do like the spray effect and if i can incorporate it into a different design i will but for now it doesn't work for this logo as it just takes much away. The main LAST logo isn't visible either which isn't great. 

This design doesn't work because of the fact the spray effect doesn't work its way too big and blocks too much the text restricting readability and they don't balance well together meaning that all you will see is the block of colour instead of the actual logo.
