CTS1 - Visualizing Words with fonts

Tuesday 29 September 2009

Today we were told to cut 10 (10x10) squares from a large piece of A2 paper, we had know idea what this was for until Amber explained to us that we would be doing a series of 10 5 minute exercises. Within these exercises Amber would call out specific words and using the 10 sheets of paper with a range of 'A's in fonts and different sizes we had to show our interpretation of that word. I found this exercise hard to begin with but once i got into it the ideas came faster, what i quickly sussed out was that the simpler the image the easier it would be to understand and translate on paper.
Once the task was done we switched tables and we had to put them in order, i was very happy because i scored 8 out 10 for my images relating to the words.
Below are the images that I created for each word, underneath each image is the word.
