How To... OUGD1 - Thursday/Friday

Sunday 27 September 2009

The last few days of getting the project together.

Thursday:

Chris and I in the morning before lunch we collected our research for the flyers that we had done and created our version. We both had a lot of versions of the flyer which we documented in the sketch books. We also got together with Ross and looked at what he'd done with his poster. We agreed that it would be better to
get our flyer to match the poster as a set. So we gave it to Ross to add his touches.

Also Chris and I went and collected the items needed to finish the box eg, the scissors, earplugs etc.

1PM
Once we had completed the flyer and settled on the final design we set abut sorting out the T-Shirt originally the idea was to spray paint it as I didn't know how to use a print and transfer. However once we got together we all sat down and discussed it in the crit we decided to try the print way, as this would give a crisper image and
a more professional edge. So I ha my first chance to us the digital print room and the heat press. Everyone agreed with me in using the boom box cut the noise T-Shirt i designed.

In the digital print room we printed it off then went to the large printing rooms where i could then use the heat press. I got the opportunity to do the printing by myself which was great because on a whole it was very simple and i have learn't a new technique.

By the end of thursday everything that had been assigned to Chris and I had been completed which meant coming to Friday we could help everyone else put the box together.

Friday:

Friday was the day of the presentation and was a fairly simple day. Everything was done and therefore all we had to do was collect the stuff and put it all together. We had to attach the handle and put the labels on top of the packaging.
