Green and blacks ticket to packaging

Thursday, 17 March 2011

Nick has dramatically changed the packaging, so we decided we should try and change the ticket layout to try and get it to match the product packaging. My only reservation about this was the fact that  the type would have to be shrunk and therefore you are compromising legibility and readability, which i wasn't really prepared to do. So we decided that we could make the diamond slightly larger to fit the text within it in a functional way.

We also discussed the idea of making the ticket more interactive with the possibility of pulling things out and around, but i did have a problem with this because it negates the functionality of the piece. When people recieve the flyer, they do one of two things. Throw it on the floor or keep it, and for that they need to be able to read it easily and quickly. By making it too complicated it wouldn't do what was needed of it. Thats why flyers are so successful regardless of whether they are designed well or not.
This is the first of the designs, I have moved the layout into the diamond. It does seem to fit a little too tightly. Its a very snug fit, but you do get to read all the appropriate information.

I have italicized the Free chocolate sample again to hopefully draw more attention to what is being said and entice people into visiting the retail outlet.

I have made the diamond slightly larger so the type fits better and is more centered within the shape. Giving more of a symmetrical feel to it, and it doesn't look so squashed them
I have added the information on the back with regards to how the ticket works and directions for the people to follow. I have centered it again, so it looks visually pleasing. and functions well as well.
