Maps of placements in different styles

I think one very key part to this project is working out appropriate placement for the retail outlet. Especially within shopping malls. As we are basing our concept on having it within leeds we also have to think about other cities because the whole idea is that it can be moved around.
This is the map that would highlight where you can buy the chocolate from that i have been using on the backs of the secondary ticket. Its clear and the type is readable. I have implemented the line drawing technique so as the give a very basic but clean and crisp image, and so that the main buildings are pointed out.

I have also looked at the Metrocenter in Newcastle. When i lived in Newcastle i used to spend a lot of time there, and its a very confusing place to shop, so the map within it is vital. I have taken the map layout that that is on their website and done another design that encompasses the line drawing technique i have been using. It means that placement stands out. I have used a different style so that the placement of the retail outlet really stands out.
I have taken a section and zoomed in, again to help put the retail outlet into perspective. By placing a simple dot it helps give a general placement. By placing all these dots doesn't mean that we would put it in all these areas, but it means that you have a general idea of where it could be put. I have tried to put it in the biggest thoroughfares in the shopping center. For example outside Primark is one of the biggest entrances to the shopping center, so it means people will walk past it when they come in.

I have also looked at Liverpool one. This is a huge outdoor shopping center. Its beautifully designed and has a lot of big shops there. One of the main things is getting the retail outlet placed within an area that has a huge amount of shoppers traffic. So i decided to place it in all the big intercessions within the ground layout. This way people will see it from all directions. Again i have used a different style to create this map, I need to speak to Nick to see which one he likes and then use it to help illustrate the retail outlet.
