Both Nick and I decided on choosing the Green and Blacks brief for our competition brief. I believe that there is a lot of scope to do some very interesting design work for this project. The only problem is, that as we read through the brief there was a lot of restrictions, which they seemed to outline in a very sporadic way. So we had to sit and actually unpick what they wanted us to do. So far we know that we will not be able to change the logo or the brand identity, it still needs to stay a premium brand chocolate and has stay up-market.
After reading through the information pack Green and Blacks wrote about themselves it is very clear that they arn't really sure what their brand is about, because they cant seem to clearly state what it is. I think they are getting confused between what they want themselves to be about and what they are currently about. So this i where Nick and I are going to step in and put the definition between the brand.
I am looking forward to this brief, as i said before, but i think its going to be hard to try and get everything they want incorporated into one campaign as they arn't sure themselves.
We have broken down the brief above to help us understand best what angle we need to approach the project. Doing this has helped us understand where we need to research and what avenues will be best to explore.
