Ideas

After looking through my research I have come up with some basic ideas for the angle in which to take the product Green and Blacks further and open it up to a wider market. Seeing as we have quite a limited time to execute a professional and realistic product and campaign it's important that we try and keep it as simple as possible. Simple but effective i believe is going to be the key.

So.
1. After looking at how succesful Hotel Chocolat is, one of my ideas is to develop a store relating to the product. The only problem is getting people in side the store. It needs to have a unique selling point. So i was thinking of inspiration and there is a shop/cafe that has just opened in headingly called Sweet Creations, this cafe basically creates any pancake, waffle or crepe you want using a variety of ingredients they have. One of their unique selling points is that they use imported american chocolate such as reeces pieces, and other chocolate bars. So you can create anything such as a mars bar and peanut butter crepe. So going with this idea i was thinking of maybe putting in the shop an area where you can create your ideal Green and Black's crepe using the varying chocolate bars they have available. This means we can incorporate what they already have without having to change it drastically.
2. Another idea was to use a small leaflet that would outline what could be done with the chocolate i.e small recipes, easy to bake things etc. This would mean the chocolate could be marketed in a whole different way, appealing to people because they can use it for more than just a chocolate bar.
3. Another idea is to create a more recognisable slogan that would go alongside the chocolate bar so that it could be put on billboards, tv, posters etc. Something that would make people remember it and sit with them
4. Re-package existing chocolate bars, i really think their hampers etc need looking at again so this just incoporates that. Maybe take on the harrods look hamper instead of a chocolate coloured box.
5. Tasters - taste sessions that could be put into supermarkets such as waitrose or sainsburys - little stalls that give you a chance to taste the chocolate and buy which would then mean making bags etc which could be good.
6. Push the idea of the fact its a luxury good and therefore when you buy it it makes you feel like you have accomplished something. A status symbol.
7. One thing that has been apparent from my research is the idea of luxury chocolate kits for home dinning and dinner parties. this is something i really think we need to look into because for a marketable range of 25-35 and the lifestyles associated with that age range means they like fine dinning and entertaining, and this is something we could push for.

These are some of the ideas i've looked at through my research and my own insight. They are fairly broad, and i think they will all entail a lot of work but i think they are strong. Couples with whatever Nick thinks i think we can come up with something really strong to produce.
