I did some brainstorming to try and get some ideas on how to get people to try and tell the truth more, its not an easy subject to tackle and we need to think carefully about the best way to produce something that will work.
1. Bad sides of telling a lie... For example looking into the smoking campaigns, the NHS campaigns. What posters and leaflets they did? Scare tactics were used here and were fairly efficient. Seeing as we don't have the time to produce an actual advert it would be easier to look at what they did for their marketing.
2. Telling your children the truth from an early age.. Let the believe in santa for a little bit but establish a resources that parents could turn to in order to confront their kids about the reality of the fairy tales they have been telling them.
3. A little book of truths... Either geared towards parents or to be given to the kids themselves.
4. Warning campaign... Using warning signs tied in with the symbols. Creating a set of new symbols that relate to a lie. WARNING: LIEING IS HAZARDOUS.
5. Look at joke books that have been around.. Books that were put together for adults that sho some of the funniest answers to exam questions etc.
